About The Lyric Stage Company
Known as the intimate “4-star theatre” in Copley Square, The Lyric Stage Company is Boston’s oldest theatre company, dedicated to presenting a wide range of the highest quality plays and musicals.
Founded in 1974, and deeply committed to nurturing the talents of Boston-area theatre artists, The Lyric Stage Company presents seven productions each season to an annual audience of over 40,000, including over 2,000 Season Ticket Holders.
In our 35 years, The Lyric Stage Company has earned 18 Elliot Norton and 42 Independent Reviewers of New England Awards. During his tenure, Producing Artistic Director Spiro Veloudos has received the StageSource Theatre Hero Award and the Elliot
Norton Prize for Sustained Excellence.
